Salone del Mobile Milano 2019 - Day 2
We were met on the Minotti stand by Mr Minotti this morning before the morning crowds arrived. Being the best (in our opinion) of the luxury brands there is great interest to see the stand, but limited capacity to accommodate the crowds. To solve this issue Minotti showcased several settings behind curved glass walls, so that everyone got a taste of the Minotti style.
Minotti added a new design duo to their international team this year with GamFratesi joining their stable of international talent. The two chairs they contributed to the 2019 Minotti Collection are beautifully tailored pieces. The presence of saddle hide on both is not only a distinctive feature of the GamFratesi studio’s debut in the creative team of Minotti, but also breathes new vibrancy into pieces with classic forms, offering a palette of different shades.
After making its debut last year, Tape by Nendo became embedded in the Minotti collection with the new Tape Cord range appearing in the outdoor collection. In a nice touch the 'tape' feature also appeared on outdoor tables with concrete tops, which sat alongside the sofas, chaise and armchairs in the range.
Marcio Kogan was on the stand in the morning greeting visitors and talking about his Quadrado range, to which there we two new additions.
After visiting Minotti the ECC team split up heading to different lighting and furniture halls in order to cover the fair comprehensively.
