Lenticular House

In Mangawhai New Zealand, a minimalist holiday home sits quietly amongst sandy hills. The 2-bedroom home acts as a tranquil workspace and a place to unwind after days on the greens next door. 

The simple open-plan structure runs north to south, with expansive windows on the east side to frame ocean views of the East, and in view of Little Barrier Island. 

The lighting design was kept minimal and in line with the brief, purposefully complementing key areas of the home, while enhancing the connection to the surrounding landscape.

Inside the home, the interiors are elegant and simple, which allows the natural light to create a calm and ambient atmosphere.
