Bourse de Commerce - A Bouroullec x Tadao Ando Design

24 May 2021

French designers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec worked alongside famed architect Tadao Ando, to refurbish the 18th century Bourse de Commerce building into a contemporary Art Museum, housing François Pinault's collection of some 5,000 artworks.

Flos Bespoke was responsible for bringing their complex, custom, luminaire designs to life, each device designed and developed according to the most challenging architectural requirements.

The culmination of the intervention was of a nine-meter tall cylindrical concrete wall, framing the central atrium, wrapped by a staircase elevating the observers towards the glass-oculus-roof, and 19th-century mural.

Ronan & Erwan were tasked with creating custom furnishings and installations in the atrium, restaurant, and exterior.
