Westhaven Promenade
LandLAB and eCubed Building Workshop
Westhaven boasts a new path and boardwalk that takes users out over the water and runs along the marina’s edge and through to Wynyard Quarter as a recreational “share with care” environment able to accommodate pedestrians, cyclists and other users. The walkway and cycleway offers a world-class visitor experience by incorporating best practice infrastructure design initiatives including, a Zero Energy Lighting Solution
The main floodlights for the road are MaxiWoody by iGuzzini with an elliptical optic in warm white, which was mounted on poles and clamps sourced by the architect.
The smaller Woody fitting is used specifically to highlight the pedestrian footpath and boardwalk. All the LED lights are extremely energy efficient leading to cost savings.
The Auckland City Council have been pleased with the look and performance of the MaxiWoody by used in Lorne St, Elliott St, Fort St and the Wynyard Quarter and wanted to maintain a consistent look within the city centre. The 10 year warranty offered by ECC was also a great benefit to council.
