Three ECC Suppliers hang out in Seville
12 October 2015
We know we represent the greatest lighting designers in the world so it's no surprise to see three of them come together in this restaurant in Seville.
Pendants from Tom Dixon (Pressed Glass), Marset (Santorini) and Roll & Hill (Modo Chandelier) have been cleverly assembled in this contemporary Andalusian courtyard.
Located in Sevilla, Spain, ‘El Pintón’ is a restaurant designed by Lucas y Hernández-Gil Architects where the aim was to create a link between the strong presence of the traditional architecture with a fresh and contemporary approach to the typical Andalusian courtyard. All the previous interventions made to the location like mouldings and clasts were removed in order to appreciate the original raw textures, which were finished with lime mortar.
The 250 square meter space was distributed into different areas that surround the main central courtyard. The patio’s ambiguous character that mingles between interior and exterior makes the quadrangle stand out. to intensify this trait, it was enhanced with vegetation, garden furniture, and a camouflaged fabric for shading. As for the furniture selection, many of the pieces were designed by the studio using metal and wood, while others were bought from well-known brands. The lighting had the same treatment, mixing own handcrafted designs with others found in the market.
