Russell McVeagh had an incredibly open mind as to what could be achieved and had only three major requirements that the new refurbishment had to meet

- The design must reflect the premier law brand that Russell McVeagh has built over the past 150 years.

- Ensure that there was a nod to the history of the company while making a modern interpretation on the refurbishment.

- Design and build had to allow for showcasing the firm's art collection.  

MMiD came to ECC for the unique range of brands that we represent.

The industrial style of Tom Dixon fitted well with the modern interpretation of the interior providing both furntiure and lighting elements to the design. Screw tables and Slab barstools add textural layers of marble, steel and wood to the Partners Bar.

The copper bubbles of the Beads pendant by Innermost infuses glamour to the bar area, paired with Dixon's Copper Shade floor lamp in the corner. The quirky Jeeves table lamp with its bowler hat give a nod to tradition, emphasising the electic nature of the room. The art in this space seems to converse more overtly with the decor through the use of more youthful contemporary art pieces.

Dixon's Base Wall light and Pressed Glass pendants appear in the restrooms alongside richly coloured wallpaper and geometric shapes reminescent of Art Deco style.

The wide range of products and styles in lighting and furniture at ECC provided a source of inspiration and creativity for this beautifully executed project.
