Tom Dixon Visits ECC
26 February 2013
UK designer Tom Dixon hosts a talk at Auckland Museum and drinks reception at ECC's Auckland showroom. Attended by top architects, interior designers and VIP clients, both events were a great success.
Tom Dixon, the UK designer famous for his lighting, furniture, and now accessories, visited us at our Auckland showroom yesterday.
Tom hosted a talk for around 200 people at the Auckland Museum on Monday afternoon. Attendees included architects, interior designers, clients/owners of Tom Dixon products, students and more. Tom lead an interesting and informative discussion on all things Tom Dixon and then some - covering everything from a motorcycle accident (that inadvertently turned him onto the design scene) to his prefered materials and the future of design. It was just as inspiring as our guests had imagined and a real treat to be able to hear the man himself speak in such an intimate setting.
Following on from the talk, Tom and our staff hosted around 150 clients, designers, architects, and friends of ECC at our Auckland showroom for a drinks reception. Guests were able to mix and mingle with Tom and likeminded professionals from a range of top organisations around Auckland and NZ.
We are absolutely delighted to be able to bring Tom down to New Zealand and share in the experience with all those who attended. Thank you to all our clients who attended. We hope to be able to bring you more events like this in the future.
