Remuera House

Daniel Marshall Architects

Bespoke furniture and a great range of lighting techniques bring together this new architectural home.

Great focus was put on the entry to the house by the ECC Lighting Consultant. Using the recessed Momo LED fitting midway between the two stories surrounding the front door, separates the wall into two volumes adding balance to the bottom layer and highlighting the wood texture. A break was created in the continuous façade by using a very sculptural light in the Flos 45 BLD, thus highlighting the main entry.

Inside a clean modern look is achieved with the selection of Minotti furnishings, which have timeless appeal. The beautiful range from Minotti fits so well with the relaxed New Zealand lifestyle and offers the ultimate in comfort and design. This is complemented with an additional sofa from Linteloo and barstools from Lapalma.

Unique functional aspects of the interior lighting include recessed track lighting with adjustable Pure spotlights that allow great flexibility in lighting artwork and the tall bookcase. Also recessed is the Lucifero’s fluorescent fitting over the kitchen bench spreading even light over the work surface. In the main bathroom the Striplin Wall Light is mounted on the mirror, which required a product with a small bracket due to the reflection.
