The Skygarden 1 Pendant Lamp by Marcel Wanders is a sophisticated suspension luminaire that provides diffused lighting.

Its hemispherical, mechanically-processed cast plaster diffuser, painted white inside, creates a soft, ambient glow. The outer finish is available in rust, glossy black, glossy white, or matte gold, offering versatile design options. The lamp features a die-cast aluminum alloy plaster diffuser support, a polished aluminum alloy bushing, and a unique combination of molded silicone shock absorbers, polycarbonate components, and galvanized steel elements.

Marcel Wanders

Marcel Wanders graduated cumlaude from the School of the Arts Arnhem in 1988 and in 1995 opened his own studio based in Amsterdam. Marcel Wanders first drew international recognition for his Knotted Chair produced by Droog Design in 1996. In 2001 he co-founded the successful design label Moooi, of which he is the art director.

Marcel Wanders is now ubiquitous, designing for global brands and high end furniture companies such as B&B Italia,Cappellini, Christofle, Bisazza, Poliform, KLM -Royal Dutch Airlines, Flos, Magis, Target, Baccarat and more recently Alessi and Marks & Spencers.
