“We suggested to Flos that we should make an uplighter as part of the Bellhop collection.

So, we flipped the top upside- down, but we needed a bit more character for such a large scale lamp.
We did this by making the top glass, which gives a really lovely glow ”- Edward Barber

Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby

BarberOsgerby is a London-based industrial design studio established in 1996 by British designers Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby. Barber was born in Shrewsbury, England in 1969 and studied interior design at Leeds polytechnic. Osgerby was born in Oxford, England in the same year and completed a foundation art programme at Oxford Brookes University before studying design at Ravensbourne College in London. The two then both went to the Royal College of Art where they met and formed the studio BarberOsgerby.
