312 Lambton Quay

ECC was entrusted to illuminate this beautiful heritage building, which was formerly the Whitcoulls Building on Lambton Quay. The upgrade was part of a multi-million dollar upgrade of the building by Athfield Architects working with electrical engineers, Beca.
The building required subtle illumination off the columns and upper pediments. LED luminaires from Lumascape and KKDC were used.
The illumination for the columns required a narrow adjustable source, which lead to the selection of the Omino Mini LED spotlight with a 9W 4000 kelvin. The larger Centria 15W spot also from Lumascape was selected to illuminate the larger central columns and lion motifs.
The KKDC Momo 352 LED linear luminaire was custom made to suit the various lengths of the pediments, and the adjustable brackets made it possible to locate and aim the wider beam spread.
The result is an elegant balance of highlighted features and shadows.
