The revamp of the Rosehip Cafe opposite the Parnell Rose Gardens, has emerged as 'Rosie' under the ownership of the Hipgroup and is every bit as popular as their other eateries.
The brief ECC received was to take botanic inspiration from the neighbouring rose garden. Heracleum The Big O was chosen for its organic leaves and branching structure inspired by the hercaleum plant. Despite its impressive scale it has a shallow depth and can be mounted close to the ceiling, which was ideal given the low ceiling in the cafe.
Pops of colour were added to the interior through the Nido Poufs by Paola Lenti, referencing the many colours of roses across the road. This Italian company is renoun for the extensive colour range it offers and the high tech outdoor rope, which it developed inhouse, from which the poufs are made.
