ECC Lights North Shore Hospital Sky Bridge

When Prime Minister John Key opened the North Shore Hospital Sky Bridge on June 21st, ECC representatives Mike Thorburn and Owen Thomas were there to celebrate ECC's contribution to the lighting of the new bridge.

 

The new Sky Bridge connects the Elective Surgery Centre (ESC) with the main hospital tower, enabling any vacant beds to be utilised and a greater volume and complexity of procedures to be done at the ESC. The bridge also includes access to the new inpatient mental health unit He Puna Waiora. Patient transfers that used to take half an hour will now take about two minutes.

The Well Foundation was involved in raising funds for the bridge and securing the lighting sponsorship from ECC.
