Double Dynamic Lighting: A Research Project

A double victory for Flos at the 26th ADI Compasso d’Oro Awards

Flos have come away with a double victory at the 26th edition of the Compasso d'Oro ADI, the most higly esteemed Italian Design Awards. Michael Anastassiades was honored with the prestigious award for the poetic light geometrics of his Arrangements, while, almost sixty years after its creation, the timeless and ingenious Arco lamp by the Castiglioni brothers was celebrated with the Product Lifetime Achievement Award, introduced this year.

Studio Piet Boon has been chosen as the 2020 Architizer A+Awards Jury Winner in the Office - Low Rise (1-4 Floors) category for their Office Brabant in the Netherlands.  Commissioned to create a timeless and functional concept for a Dutch office space, the design intent for this barn-like structure was inspired by farms in the surrounding area. Piet Boon designed a modern interpretation of a barn space to create a one-story office with a comfortable, residential atmosphere. An eggshaped stackable chair obtained from industrial waste generated by Magis’ furniture production and the local car industry.
