Meet AY Illuminate's latest additions to the collection: Bagobo-O and Bagobo-R. These designs by Nelson Sepulveda are made by hand in a small-scale workshop in the southern Philippines, specialised in papermaking. The paper covers are made from abaca fibres and meticulously attached to a slender bamboo frame. With its paper cover on the outside, Bagobo-O (for Original) produces intriguing shadows. The reversed version, Bagobo-R, has a bamboo frame on the outside, that highlights the play with lines, planes and curves. Elegant and crisp, the Bagobo lamps create a welcoming and stylish atmosphere that work great in living spaces and the work place.
