The Kai Chair by Lapalma features a durable sandblasted stainless steel Aisi 304 base with polythene feet and felt inserts for indoor use.

The curved plywood seat is available in multiple finishes and can include an optional soft leather seat pad or full fabric upholstery for added comfort. A complementary height-adjustable swivel stool with a sandblasted stainless-steel column and a steel base in a "linen fabric" pattern is also available, offering versatile seating options with refined craftsmanship.

Shin Azumi

Shin Azumi was born in 1965 in Kobe, Japan. After finishing his MA in Industrial Design at the Royal College of Art in 1994, he started working as a design unit ‘AZUMI’. He is a visiting professor of Osaka University of Arts and a lecturer of Vitra Design Museum Workshop. He also took part in the jury of numerous design awards such as, IF Design Award (DE), DT Design Award (JPN), Design Report Award (DE / IT), FX International Design Award (UK), Kokuyo Design Award (JPN).

Azumi works have been published and gained worldwide recognition and awards being acquired for the permanent collections of many museums - such as the Victoria & Albert Museum (UK), the Stedelijk Museum (Holland), the Crafts Council (UK), the Die Neue Sammlung (Germany), the Museum fur Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt (Germany).
