Alta Costura means Haute Couture in Spanish. When assembling the product, the client dresses up the mast wrapping the paper diuser around it. It maintains its "igure thanks to the custom buttons gently screwed in the back of the lamp. The client mimics, while mounting it, the meticulous work of a tailor. The design comes from a happy accident. Josep Aregall, the designer, needed a gentle ambient light for his living room but only had a simple bulb. He took a piece of PVC he had laying around and wrapped it around the naked light source. The result was an elegant and characteristic lamp. He further developed the concept which resulted in the ALTA COSTURA collection.
