Dawn is a self-taught artist with mid-western sensibilities and a sophisticated eye for style. Dawn is founder of Notre Monde, the elegant furniture and accessory studio, established more than 15 years ago. While designing distinctive furniture, lighting and home accessories, she enlivens traditional techniques with fresh ideas of global origin. She draws her inspiration not only from her extensive travels all over the world. But also from her experience in decorating homes in Europe before settling in North Carolina.
Inspired by such things around her whether it’s a song. Book, fashion, nature, texture on a painting, or the ones she loves. She tries to select only the things that speak directly to her so her work is authentic.
