The Well Glass Hook light was designed as a portable hand-held task light. Originally fitted with a long rubber cable for easy transportation and a hook for hanging on ship’s decks or stable doors, today, the rubber has been exchanged for a cotton braided cable so the light can be placed on flat surfaces or suspended. Hand-cast in Birmingham and fitted with glass blown at Davey’s Birmingham glassworks, the Well Glass Hook light is manufactured with the same attention to detail required for its original industrial purpose.
