Royal Botania

Belgium

Royal Botania alludes to the natural beauty of lush botanic gardens and the supreme “royal class” of furniture they manufacture. The brand was founded by university friends Kris Van Puyvelde and Frank Boschman in 1992 in Antwerp, Belguim. Their initial focus was to produce a range of outdoor furniture that fused superb quality and refreshing designs made out of teak wood.

Teak remains a key material in the product line today, and is harvested in strict accordance with environmental policies based on the “sustainable forest” policy, promoted by the WWF.

Over the years new materials have been introduced such as stainless steel, glass, aluminum and synthetic fibers. Each material is expertly manufactured for outdoor environments. For example marine-grade stainless steel with an electropolished finish is used which lowers the risk of corrosion. Royal Botania’s Batyline woven polyester fabric is resistant to stretching and cracking and UV rays.

Royal Botania have recently introduced a ‘Red Label’ collection, which focuses on the economic use of material, without compromising quality and style and is offered at a more affordable price point.
