Linteloo

The Netherlands

Dutch Design was becoming a world brand in the nineties but Jan te Lintelo, who launched his first Linteloo collection in 1993, wanted to go even further. He started a new concept in 1995 – the now famous ‘feel-good factor’. The design for easy living with comfortable sofas and chairs was a big success in The Netherlands and soon other countries followed.

The ‘feel-good factor’ theme now ties together the Linteloo range. This translates into their soft furnishings in a relaxed, shabby chic style using crushed linens and cushions with sink-in softness. The right balance between structure and softness in their seating range is a result of in depth research into the ideal combination of down, feather and foam.

Alongside the traditional neutral range of colours sits eye-popping colours in fabrics, lacquers and detailing. Linteloo painted their showroom in Milan Dutch orange for the Milan Furniture Fair in 2012 and introduced a new range of colours curated by Anya van de Wetering. Acid green, aqua, burnt orange, reds and pinks all made an appearance.
